The Omegna Forum, directed by the Fondazione Museo Arti e Industria, is a multipurpose cultural centre estabilished to cultivate the study and conservation of Cusio industrial history.

Permanent Collection

The Permanent Collection contains numerous historical objects and iconographic products from local businesses. The Collection was set up thanks to the “Regesto Storico Aziendale” project promoted by the Arts and Industrial Museum Foundation and traces the development of design, materials, technology and use of household articles over the past century. World famous objects such as the Bialetti Moka, Lagostina pressure cooker, Calderoni cutlery and the Alessi designer range of household articles, give us a panorama of the range of goods manufactured in the area known as “the household articles district”. In the Omegna and Cusio area there are many less famous small firms who manufacture for other larger companies or independently. As well as the aforementioned articles, the Museum also contains wood handicrafts from the Cusio area and Strona valley where water powered the lathes in the artisans shops. Lathes and other tools from a dismantled old lathe shop testify to this traditional but still very much alive industry.
