THE SHOP
Situated on a corner near the entrance, it offers a wide choice of children’s books by Gianni Rodari, to whom “Parco della Fantasia” is dedicated. Educational toys and handcrafted objects like the renowned “Pinocchio” of Valle Strona can all be bought inside the shop.

ORANGE SQUEEZERS (March 15th – 17th 2013)
On the occasion of the sixth edition of “Gli Agrumi di Cannero Riviera”, “Fondazione Arti e Industria” and FOROM OMEGNA will draw on their archives to organize its first exhibit of orange squeezers, which will be hosted by Hotel Cannero (“Casa Barone Sant’Agabio”’s exhibition room). This venture aims to retrace the history and the evolution of the orange squeezer, from the hand models to the electric appliances, underlying also the importance it has achieved as a design object nowadays. A separate spot will be dedicated to citrus peels, whose shapes and materials bear testimony to their functionality as well as their artistic value.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, OMEGNA (December 8th 2012 – January 6th 2013)
For Christmas 2012, FORUM OMEGNA hosted Sergio Viganò’s collection of nativity scenes, which includes more than 550 compositions. More than two hundreds visitors could experience the unique atmosphere of the nativity. Benefitting from the presence and contribution of several experts, the visitors had the chance to observe pieces of art coming from all over the world and discovering at the same time the technology and the materials involved in their construction.
Simultaneously and just some 300 metres away from FORUM OMEGNA, charming plastic models of miniature trains offered by several collectors were displayed at Parco della Fantasia’s “Ludoteca”. During this event, children – and grownups! - had the opportunity to take part in creative workshopswhere they could build wagons, rails and train stations. Due to the incredible success of this experience, the management is considering repeating this event during Christmas 2013, with improvements and modifications.
